Use videoblog.ai in ChatGPT and Claude
Turn a YouTube video into a blog post without leaving your AI assistant. The videoblog.ai MCP server gives ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients one tool: Video to blog post.
What the tool does
Give it a link to a public YouTube video. It reads the video's captions and writes a long, SEO-structured blog post with headings, lists and the video embedded, in the video's own language. The result comes back as HTML, with a link to the post on videoblog.ai, where you can edit it, match it to your own voice and send it to your WordPress site as a draft.
Connect it
Add a custom connector (also called a remote MCP server) in your assistant's settings with these details:
- Server URL:
https://videoblog.ai/mcp - Transport: Streamable HTTP
- Authentication: none
Then ask, for example: "Turn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=… into a blog post with videoblog.ai."
Limits
- Public YouTube videos up to 30 minutes that have captions.
- A first run takes about 40 seconds. If the tool says it is still writing, ask the assistant to call it again with the same link.
- Asking again for the same video within 30 days returns the article already written, in about a second.
- Up to 50 new videos a day across all users. For longer videos or more articles, use a free videoblog.ai account.
Privacy
The tool receives only the YouTube link. We fetch the video's public details and captions, write the article with OpenAI through Cloudflare, and keep it as an unlisted post on videoblog.ai: anyone with its link can read it, and search engines are asked not to index it. The tool needs no sign-in and receives no personal data. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
